1982 P Lincoln Memorial Cent / LMC Small Date. Grease? MD? Radial Smearing? Or Doubled Die Obverse / DDO ?

Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5239 Posts	Posted 12/18/2018 11:18 am I have this 1982 P Small date cent and I have looked at this thing several times on several different occasions and decided to post and ask some questions. The 2, S in TRUST and G in God are slightly misshapen. The top curl of the 2 seems to have a slight spread and the S in TRUST has the same type of misshape. The G on the word GOD appears as if the bottom serif of the G is elongated and is misshapen as well. The only markers I can see is the die scratches in and above the word LIBERTY. Insight as to what I am actually seeing please. Report this Post to the Staff

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 12/18/2018 11:22 am Looks like a MAD event on the date area with also contact on the '82' area. Also the same thing on the 'ST' on TRUST. Note the plating was was removed on the 'T'.
