I have few presidential gold dollar coins with certificate of authenticity is mint. The edges are gashed and not formed correct. Sorry don't know the terms to describe it. On the picture with arrows are just 3. The P is missing it's bottom part. The gash between the 9 and P. The huge mashed in area. Again sorry don't know all the terms. What do you think.

Hello! From the images provided, I think it is PMD or post mint damage. Better pictures would help but I think it's PMD. Happy hunting!

Have you tried just using your camera? No lens? Sometimes that is the best thing to do. My other suggestion is that you put the coin flat on a table, the part you want to take a picture of off the edge of the table, and then try to shoot the picture in good lighting. It's hard but I've done it. Good luck!

I have tried laptop camera, my cell and neighbors cell. I have got better pictures. Well they look good till I upload them. lol... I will give the table pictures a try. Its ironic. I collected change all year every year for holidays. a friend got me looking at them. The things I have found. This morning I found a 2000 D dime with Cud on front and back... but I am about to try to upload pictures with edge opps

It also looks like theres another print under it. That I am sure someone would have to look at in person. so to me besides the print under, the mint mark didnt look complete. missing part of bottom half. the edging letters look off aligned or its because the rim area not right. Looks like my 5 year old granddaughter drew it. lol
Thanks for y'alls time.

I'm fairly sure the dime is just post strike damage.

I live in a small town in Texas. Anyway there is a small coin stamp collector. I stopped in talked to them showed 6 different coins. The gentleman says to me; I don't buy errors and was amazed with presidential coin. I asked him so who would I take it to. He didn't know. So know I am asking y'all. Where would I take it to?

Thank you
