Hey guys,
I've been away on some business for a bit and hit up a few coin shops while I was out on the road.
(Anyone from Houston? Great coin shop I found there... the guy goes by 'Casino John')

Anyway, I reside in Connecticut and my favorite coin shop around here is Rick's Antiques and Coins

What about you?
Where are you from and what's your coin shop?

From Northeast Kansas......I don't frequent coin shops.....
I prefer Coin auctions, estate auctions, estate sales, CCF members, sometimes Antique stores, etc. etc. etc..........

I live in Houston. But work over most of Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. My favorite store is a place in Houston on Rice street called the Collectors Coin Shop. There's a place in Tyler TX that is pretty nice (on the sw side of the loop). My favorite store in Oklahoma has recently closed. It was in Edmund.

I live in Houston as well...down the freeway from springcypress! I have yet to find a favorite shop, although SC has sold me on trying the one down on Rice.

Photoeric, where is the one you are talking about with the guy named Casino John?

I'm from the same city as eaglefoot ... and I remember several little shops just down the street from me, perhaps 15 years ago. All gone; in fact, the last shop I visited (on Wanamaker, e-foot), turned out to be more of an investor's shop than a collector's shop. I was able to get a Red Book from him, but all the coins on display were high dollar gold and silver items. I haven't been back since.

Illinois. Haven't been to a coin shop since the early 50's. Way to many coin shows, flea markets, garage/yard/estate sales around me.
