i had my 7th $1+ night of the month tonight, picking $1.58 in well-scattered change. finding two or three quarters each night makes a difference. my last finds tonight were three quarters, two from an ice machine coin return and one on the pavement close to home.

hmm.. black friday is november 28th this year; just under 35 weeks to go.

the last couple of weeks have been slightly better than usual overall. march ended on a high note, I scored several nights of $1+, a $2+ night once, and several nights I picked just under a dollar... eighty-six cents, eighty-nine cents, ninety-five cents, ninety-six cents.. tonight's pickins was keeping with that $1+ vibe, I scored a nice $1.61, all well-scattered change, despite a few of my usual haunts being no-go zones tonight. black friday is far down the road, but I'm already drooling over the prospect of turning another big batch of junk metal coins & depreciating dollars-- cycle 18!-- into some tasty gold & silver.
