i just barely eked out another $1+ night, picking $1.01 in well-scattered change. fourth consecutive night of $1+, $5.34 over those four nights... that hasn't happened in over a year.  |

My uncle has been going out nights for years. And at the end of each year, he buys silver dollars for his grandchildren with the spare change he has been finding.

of all the coins I've turned street money into, that gold quarter eagle- the first coin produced by this experiment in 2018- is my favorite. i picked $1.24 in well-scattered change tonight, extending my $1+ per night streak to 5 consecutive. i'd have to dig into the archives to figure out how long it's been since I last had 5 consecutive $1+ nights.  someone left a tidy pile of lincoln cents at an ice machine. of the 29 lincoln cents I picked tonight, only three were copper. |

I'm always amazed how much change you pick up, Mr Pink!
I found three 2p coins on the floor at my local amusement arcade the other day, plus a couple more that someone had either won on a machine and failed to collect, or which had just toppled down of their own accord! They made up for the 10p coin I recklessly inserted into another machine and lost!

for the sixth consecutive night I picked more than a dollar in change, scoring $1.58, $8.16 in total over those six nights. that's a $1.36 nightly average. I hope this trend continues.  (edit, a few minutes later) almost forgot: I also picked an unopened pack of chewing gum from the middle of the winn-dixie parking lot:  Edited by MrPink2018
