anyone familiar with the different types of this particular coin?

There are three varieties, based on the location, style and size of the designer's initials CM on the reverse. I think yours is the most common variety. However, none of them are really valuable, despite what you might see on ebay!

i concur. thanks, NumisRob.

last night I picked $1.27, all well-scattered change.

tonight I picked exactly $2.00, one dollar of it was the usual well-scattered coins, the other dollar was a wild buck, trying to conceal itself amid trash and leaves:

serious kitty karma tonight. I spotted that buck as I was parking my bike to feed a kitty.

tonight I also picked a 2020 2-cent euro from Spain, pix to come. I'm not sure where I picked it from. I probably thought it was a zincoln.

i took an up-close pic of those initials, I just remembered, after I read-up on it:

i thought it most resembled the A variety.

tonight was very fortuitous, from a cash standpoint and a food standpoint.

most importantly, I scratched up $1.83 in well-scattered change, including a nice forty-seven-cent coin spill near the winn-dixie:

Post-Your-Stories-&-Pix-Of-Found-Money

but I also discovered that some really kind people left some munchies for me tonight in two similar locations:

munchie score #1- just before riding out of the winn-dixie parking lot I found an unopened package of two cherry turnovers from the winn-dixie bakery on a window ledge just outside the building's entrance doors.

munchie score #2- a little while later I was biking through the publix parking lot and discovered an unopened package of two vanilla-frosted cinnamon swirl buns from the publix bakery on a window ledge near the building's entrance doors. I munched one of those as soon as I returned to my apartment.

total providence.

free munchies are great. I doubt there will be too much 'free food' in the weeks and months ahead. at some point I expect the street money to dry up and disappear. it was great while it lasted. I hope that I can finish one more cycle.
