I know this has to be a moving number so it would be interesting to know what is the best organization that accurately gathers data from all known sources to publish the most recent data on URS variety rarity scores?

Also how does one integrate reported examples vs other examples so that a specimen can have a reliable URS designation for pricing etc.?

The only way for them to be accurate is to determine how many coins were struck by the die state. If it gets to VLDS there could be a million cents. So the knowing the die state would be a better guess. (this is for cents)

Pretty much anything higher than URS 11 is meaningless. And it isn't that much different than the Sheldon scale except URS counts up as coins become more common and Sheldon counts down. That makes the URS scale open ended with meaningless numbers while Sheldon ends at one because there is no point going further, The only reason URS has 11 reasonable numbers and Sheldo has 8 is because URS uses five numbers at the high end to cover what Sheldon does with 2. Then URS 6 - 11 pretty much match up with Sheldon 6 - 1.
