I am photographing/scanning my coin collection to my computer to be later put on a CD. However, my coins are loose in a box and/or plastic bags. I am researching ways to store them individually in airtites, etc.
I need some sort of direction in what kind of supplies I should have to get started with And how about a magnifier What kind

Thank for the help
Rest in Peace

Mila,

That's quite a questions since everyone does things a little differently. I will tell you my way and I'm sure the others can fill in some suggestions.

All my coins are put in a E.T. Kointain, double pocket, Saflip with insert. Once I put the coin in I heat seal it and store it in a blue 9", 2x2, Whitman Plastic box.

For Magnifying loupe I use a 7X Eschenbach for general viewing and grading, and a 10x same brand for specifics.

If the day comes when you get serious about varieties you can pick up the 7X-45x stereo zoom microscope.
