Hello everyone! Long time member here--have been inactive for a few years, but always here browsing and reading posts. Thought I would share some recent pics of my Lincoln Cent Collection! Lately, I've been really curious about what a realistic valuation would be--Its really hard to find a resource that gives some guidelines, and of course I know when dealing with a collection many variables come into play. Couple of things to point out-- 1909 S is a 1MM-001 S over horizontal s Missing: 1909 S VDB . (I plan on this being my next purchase) 1922 Plain In the last photo, the unmarked coins are 2017 P/D/S 2018 P/D/S 1998 WAM1999 WAM2000 WAM1957 Proof 1958 Proof Any insight would be so appreciated! I am not looking to sell it--just so curious! I am starting to upgrade the older coins soon, and desperately need a better 1935 S

Us Joes have a knack of remembering other Joes, welcome back.
I know I've seen sold sets on the bay missing those keys, but your's is customized
to the point, there's really nothing to compare it to.
I've sold very many Jeff sets, but I don't know if I could w/a Lincoln set.

Good looking set. The best way to get a value on your set is to grade each coin and then use a site like Numismedia to set a value on each coin. That's a lot of work though.
As a ballpark, you can usually buy a 1909-1940 circulated set minus the four keys for around $100. Add in your 09-S, 14-D and 31-S and you're probably +$300 there, so now $400. You have a few nicer coins sprinkled in plus are uncirculated mostly from 35-40, so maybe add in another $100. A nice 41-59 uncirculated set is probably another $100, and a nice memorial set is maybe another $100 on top of that - a lot of that being the 70-S small date. So now maybe at $700, plus the shields, proofs and WAMs and some of your semi-keys are looking pretty nice so maybe you are looking at $800-1000? Just a guess of course.
The upgrade path from here is quite a journey but worth it. Upgraded coins can go into a overflow set and now you've got two nice sets!

What is also cool is when you get your 09-S VDB, you will have a complete set which is a major milestone. Then you can upgrade the 35-S, then you will think "well, you know, I could do the 34 and 34-D in uncirculated, it's only two more coins...".
