1964 Nickel Error? Help?

I found this coin around Derby time. For some reason I assumed this was a horses head and rose purposely made to celebrate the Derby. Lol.
So now I am here looking for more info. TY!

PMD for sure, but odd looking. Is that copper-colored blob hard and firmly attached to the coin?

Here's a few tests I did in my shop - goldish color is braising and the nickel colored blob is solder. Solder was put on with a simple butane torch but braise rod was put on with Oxy-Acetylene torches. Does this compare to yours? So yeah, heated up to a copper rod dropping on your nickle, the metall pushed off where the copper was dropped looks like from a blow torch
