New Member, New To Coin Collecting.

Hello from Ft Lauderdale Florida. I'm married and have two sons, one 9 years old and one 9 months old.

I'm 44 years old and into outdoors stuff such as boating and camping...RV camping...must have the luxuries of home. We live in a small house on the water in the Ft Lauderdale area and have our boat docked out back.

Coin collecting is something I never would have thought I would be interested in but here I am. The reason is this. My father in law has an extensive coin and precious metal collection and over the last 8 years or so he has been slowly giving us his collection in the form of birthday and Christmas gifts for myself, wife (his daughter) and our boys (his grand kids) and at first I thought it was nice but gave it no significance. Mostly rolls of true silver dimes and quarters....in fact thousands of silver dimes and quarters, quite a few Morgan silver dollars, some silver eagle proofs and a couple gold eagle proofs. (which should show up in my avatar)

I am not your typical coin collector, but after looking at many of the coins I really got interested in it. In fact I am now starting to buy some myself. I am in the process of buying some silver bullion bars as well.
