Possibly a bit of Machine Doubling, but I'm not even sure of that. Pics don't show much.

Try zooming in on just the ES OF part of STATES OF. Might be a split serif on that S.

The S in ES looks to have a split serif! You might have a DDR. It's tough to tell though without a closeup. If you have time try to post pictures of the S.
