It is a Chinese CC counterfeit that is made in all CC dates. The coin has the scratch on the eagle's breast and the cast bump above the D in dollar. These are often made from 90% silver, so it will not stick to magnet and have the correct weight.

Hope you did not pay more than melt for that. If you only recently bought that, go after the seller. If not, I would put that in my collection, marked as a fake. Would love to have it for that, at melt prices.

It looks too shiny and gray to me for being silver. Weight,and tissue test.

Thanks all for the input!! Luckily I do not own this one. Had the opportunity to buy it and backed off. Had a feeling it was too good to be true but wanted to confirm with everyone else.

Does anyone have a good source that lists the VAMs for each year? I've found a few links on the forums, but they all lead to a page that doesn't exist anymore.

Looks like a counterfeit.

The link John posted is great for attributing VAMs and reading about them.
