This coin was in very poor shape it had been artificially toned. I got it in the scrap box at a local coin shop for melt :-). When making puzzles I generally like to keep the cuts as clean as possible for a better fit. In this case I had to burnish the coin in a tumbler to get rid of the ugly tones. So the edges of each puzzle piece have a smoothed appearance. I'm not sure if I like it. Perhaps burnish before cutting next time.
