Hi,

Could anyone please identify this coin for me. Is it actually 'Gold'? I know nothing about it, as I dont have any experience with coins, but do have a few of interest I've found in archive. Any help appreciated

It could be a brass coin with remnants of a plating or a wash that has worn off. Contemporary counterfeits can look very much like this.

Brass gaming token. Very common.
The hole would detract very little from the value, because the value is virtually nil to begin with.
I have seen these in the 10 Cent junk box at coin dealers.
