Agree with Tunnioc. This is a large date. The top of the 8 would be squeezed in tighter on a small date rather than being fairly equal on top/bottom. Also the 2 is less rounded and more arched over to be symmetrical in shape.
Welcome to CCF!

El dato grande - sorry, it's a large date as others have pointed out. I always look for the snowman with the head smaller than the body to identify the small dates.

I was wondering if the 1982 2.50 g penny are worth saving. I have some with D mint mark and some no mark. To my understanding the ones with no mark were minted at West Point, that is the 82's with zinc. I have some with small and large date. I need some help with this project........Thanks

Quote: To my understanding the ones with no mark were minted at West Point, that is the 82's with zinc. They were minted at West Point(1.99 billion), San Francisco (1.58 billion), and Philadelphia (7.1 billion) and there is no way to tell which mint a given coin was struck at. (Mintages are for copper and zinc combined, there are no published figures that break down how many of each type was made. All three mints made both types.)
