I really like the strike on this one, plenty of eye appeal for the grade as well. Looks like it may have been polished/dipped though.

Pic's are 1880 S, but title is 1879 P 7TF. very nice 1880 though, I'll go MS-63 and maybe a DMPL or CAM.

ok...something weird is going on here. the coin I'm looking at here is no way AU. did this coin get changed out with a different one? the coin I'm seeing is at least MS63 with a shot at 64 probably PL and maybe DMPL.

Ok, something is not right if ya'll are seeing my 1880 in this post and not the 1879 coin. I started another post for the '80, it is a very sharp coin. Ya'll should be seeing the 1879 in this thread, that's what I'm seeing. Maybe my starting more than one thread a day is causing the problem?

OK, I just did a refresh and now I'm seeing my 1880, what gives? I will try to change the pic, we will see what happens...

Is this working now? I just deleted the pics, renamed the 79 and re-loaded the pics. Now I only see the 1879.

More than dipped. Looks like it was cleaned with Baking Soda and water which kills mint frost and gives the luster a dull lifeless look.
