The Trap Of Thinking You Found A 1989 LMC RDV-005. Tutorial

When I first started collecting error cents I would come across a 1989 LMC thinking it had the reverse of the RDV-005. I would post pics of my newly discovered find just to be shot down by people a whole lot smarter than me! Time and experience changed for me with the help of,again, people a lot smarter than I am. So for those newbies that post that they too made the discovery of a lifetime I have put together this tutorial. I have only been collecting for a little over a year and have a lot to learn yet but I thought this might be of some help to others. There will be three different cents represented here, a 1989 D in good condition, a 1989 D in worn condition and lastly a 1988 D in worn condition. You will see similarities between the 1989 D and the 1988 D, the distance from the memorial, the tops of the A's in AMERICA, the lack of the flange showing on the G in the designers initials and so forth. This was all caused by die wear and over polishing as the pics will show. Over polishing removes the bottom part of the devises polishing away part of the design elements. I hope this is of some help to new collectors as I still am one myself.
