ill post a pic if needed, but I doubt it. got it at work today, I'm a waiter.

one side is a picture of a horse head, and the numbers 1994 - 1414
2nd side is 3 small circles beside each other, palm tree in the left one and two horse heads facing each other on the right two.

it is colored like a canadian toonie (silver outside and gold middle)

It's a 100 dinars from Algeria, northern Africa. Listed in the Krause catalogues as KM# 132. Here's an example on WCG.

The palm tree and two horseheads in circles are supposed to be the number "100" in decorative form.

100 Algerian dinars is currently equivalent to US$1.62, so it's by no means worthless.

Actually the catalog value on this particular coin is relatively high for a modern issue. $6-VF $12-XF $20-UNC.
