1955-D LMC DDO? Help Please

I got this pic from a friend who says this is DDO. Personally I don't think is it but y'all are the real experts.

He was too scared to post it and be wrong but if you guys can include some helpful links you can help a lot. Thanks!

I don't have any other pictures for the coin. I'll ask him to send them

Yeah I don't think it's a DDO either. I think it's most likely a contact mark (damage).

Note how the overall size of the devices are normal in size.

What causes the flattened aspects of the letters. Is that then MD ?

A very high bounce after the strike will affected the tops of devices. Also coin ejection can affect the tops of the devices. But yours looks more like the die itself altering them after the strike.
