Hard to tell with these pictures, there's a lot of glare. I have noticed Denver-minted shield cents usually have larger initials.

We need some images that are not to tight in. To close removes the ability to see what is really there.

The glare is not helping you. If you are wanting to show an area that reflects back, then you need to either remove the glare with a diffuser or reduce the light or rotate the devices so the glare is not being caused. The coin does look interesting, but glare can be deceiving. (Alters the shape by making it look taller/wider than it actually is on a coin)

Here is the LB without light, only the natural light coming in from my kitchen window. But all other lights I turned off to help reduce any glare. Boy these shiny coins are hard to photograph!
