Doubling by the chin,mouth and nose area. D looks like a dot. Brownish in color. Any comments on this Quarter ?

Yes @jim0815 nailed it. This coin has a nice clear example of MD on Washington's lips, but is only worth face value.

It seems to be Die Detonation at manufacturing + Machine Doubling by the same failing "Die" + Wear and Tear on the D. What a strange quarter ?
I am correct to say that based on the feed back that I'm correct ?
Is Machine Doubling frequent with a Die deteriorating ?

Machine Doubling can be found on DDO's, DDR's, early Die stage coins and late Die stage coins. A loose die can happen at any time or any stage.
