Found a jar full of coins at our cabin, has been in the family for decades. Was hoping to learn about some of the more unusual ones.

To CCF! Just a damaged coin. It's Post Strike Damage ( PSD) and is only worth face value.

The second photo sure looks like the Memorial is stamped over Lincolns profile. However an overlay does not align.

Thanks for the reply's. I thought it looked like the memorial as well but also could not make sense of how it lined up. Not concerned about the value - I don't believe any coins we found are worth more than face value, just curious about a few coins that stood out. Jar of coins and no WiFi... we sorted them, examined them, compared them, played "store" - wonderfully entertaining. The oldest coin we found was a 1940 nickel. Oldest pennies were 1946 and 1958. A good amount of pennies, dimes, quarters and nickels from the 1960's and the majority was 1980's and 90's.
