The Balban coin is undated. Goron & Goenka list it as 2-gani (dugani). Jital is a very generic term. G/G D165; Tye 409.1.

The dates 720 and 721 are recorded for the Tughluq coin which is also a dugani. The date, if present, is in the margin in Nagari(?) numerals. G/G D312; Tye 438.

Both apparently minted at Dehli.

Thanks all!

Thanks for the info KS I think the date is off flan, it should be around 7-8 o'clock on the reverse. Looking around it seems the Dugani of Tughluq is a more difficult denomination to obtain? The 4 and 6 gani seem more common?

Thanks again Paul

From my experience, these coins are surprisingly cheap to buy.
I am bereft of an explanation as to why this is so.

I agree, I picked these 2 up for a couple bucks each....But what I actually meant was the availability...There seems to be a lot of Tughluq coins out there but the majority of them are 4 or 6 Gani not 2 as per the op coin. But maybe its just a blip at the moment?
Also on zeno there are only two examples of the 2 Gani whereas there is a multitude 4 and 6 Gani?...But I dont know why?
