I was goong thrue my change and found a 1976 D Eisenhower dollar coin and I was looking for errors and found that my coin is on the wrong stock..i cant seem to find much info on it as to value ect..i know the common weight is like 22.somthing and the mine weighs 24. Sonthing sorry my scale only weighs grams..ill post pics ..can any one help me on what iv got here.

@pckrwdpmp, first welcome to CCF. Second, could you please post a close-up pic of the mintmark? When I enlarge and enhance you pics very much, they start to get pixelated. Also, a pic showing the edge of the coin could be helpful. Thx.

to CCF. 22.7 for clad and 24.6 for silver. Your coin looks like a clad to me.

You need a better scale.

Copper nickel clad weight spec is 22.68 +/- .907 grams. So a normal copper nickel clad Ike can weigh as much as 23.587 which on your scale would show as 24 grams. (anything over 23.49 grams would show as 24.)

Thx for the additional pics. Based on that edge view it definitely looks clad and based on the close-up pic, it definitely looks like Denver mint (although perhaps with a broken post on the mintmark). I don't see anything wrong with this coin.
