I had this Wheat cent for a couple months, it resides in my Wheat penny album. Bought it back at a pawn shop for 50 cents because it was in incredible shape for its age and it's an upgrade. I have it labeled in AU-55 currently but I would like other collectors opinion on it. The penny is as I found it.

AU 55 from me currently. An acetone soak might remove some of that (dirt?) from the coin and it might bump up to a 58. A fantastic deal for .50 cents either way I would say!

I'm thinking MS, look at all that luster all the way across the fields! Nice find!

For me this coin is a candidate for an acetone soak and then an application of Verdi-Care with a Q-tip . I use Verdi-Care for removing other debris from copper coins besides Verdigris with great success . After that it should make MS-62BN .

Just picked up a bottle of the Verdi care you all use. Looking forward to the results!
