Hello,

I am fairly new in identifying Chinese cash coins, I have bought Hartill's books, but would like a second opinion on some of the ones I have attached pictures for below.

I am also most definitely an amateur in attempting to determine on whether or not the coins are authentic. I have attempted to only buy from reputable sellers, so most of my coins I am not so concerned about, but the Ant Nose coin I would like opinions on.

Thanks for any and all help!

Is this a Sheng Song yuan bao Hartill 16.393?

I am having issues determining what type of Ban Liang coin this is.

Lastly, just by looking at the pictures of this Ant Nose Hartill 1.15 coin, does anything make you think it may not be authentic?

If you would like me to take addition pictures or remove them from the holders to take more of the glare away please let me know! Thanks again for any and all help!

#1: Does resemble H16.393
#2: Please clarify- are you suggesting this coin is Han Dynasty so you are wanting to know which variation it could be from among the different reigns?
or are you asking if it is Ch'in or Han?
Knowing the exact weight and diameter can help.
#3: I have Ant Nose money, but I could not say if yours is genuine from a photo in plastic or out of it.

Albert,

Thanks for the help on #1.

I should have clarified more on #2, sorry about that, but I am more trying to determine if it is Han or Ch'in. I will try to add more info on the size and weight as soon as I get the chance, but that may not be till tomorrow evening.

Also thank you for taking a look to help with question #3, I figured it would be near impossible to determine the authenticity of the Ant Nose from just a picture alone.

Some are so similar it can be hard to tell so diameter and weight can be a great help as well as better photos of both sides but no through plastic.
Do you have David Jen's Chinese Cash book?
Varieties are on page 202
I enhanced and am comparing your photo to my references, but images are not clear in the OP as well as the books.
Lets come back to this after the size and weight and maybe better pictures are posted.
