Greetings from Whittier California (where Los Angeles & Orange County meet) I am a Newbie to the Coin World. I received change one day, & received this wierd looking quarter (pic posted) and been trying to chase that "high",for lack of better terms, ever since! I'm forever trying to make purchases where the total is $x.09 or less just so I get change & & yes that bad y'all! Anyway nice to find a place to finally be able to ask questions & learn from others, without being made to look like a darn fool or trolled!! Well I hope lol, anyway!! Mint errors & silvers have been the drug of choice for me! Thanks again in advance for the answers and help! May you all find your 1943 copper penny

to CCF. Obverse and reverse pics please. As of now,my guess is the coin has been heated and produced a trapped gas bubble.

To CCF! Just heat damage, caused by Post Strike Damage ( PSD). Not a genuine U.S. Mint error. It is only worth face value, unless it's from 1964 or older.
