Often when someone posts, we get responses from the ones on the forum that the most knowledge, and they will freely give their thoughts, and they are greatly appreciated. The one problem I encounter the most and is very frustrating. After a response is made by a knowledgeable member, their response will trigger a thought and the OP will post a follow up question. Problem is, NO ONE comes back after they give their definitive opinion. PLEASE, if you comment return to the topic at least one more time the next day to see if their were any followup questions or alternative opinions. I know you have better things to do with your time, but it really only takes a few minutes at best to review posts from the previous day to see if a question has been asked.
I would greatly appreciate the added thoughts.
Dan

I try to revisit posts as often as I can. Sometimes I miss a few, but I attempt to answer any follow up questions the OP or others have.

When I come to the site the first thing I do is check my recent post. If my name is the last response I skip it. If it is someone else I check it out. Then I move on to the top of the page and start reading.

Thank You All. It is greatly appreciated. Not everyone does though, and it would REALLY help.

with Dan. I have at least one out there with no response to a second question. Not sure which but, I can remember not getting an answer. I do appreciate completely the help I do get, although. Thanks to all!

If more answers pertaining to a topic matter needed, bump it up and ask again for additional confirmation. Some may be annoyed, but in my experience most will not. Some may think the issue was resolved or already answered and moved on. I try and follow up as best I can, but I'm sure I've missed something's here and there.
Not all, but some common reasons for no response from my end of the Internet might include -
1. I'f subject question is already answered. I tend to move on. 2. Lack of full obverse and reverse images or other information. I tend to move on. 3. Adding additional coins(s) or subjects not related to current topic, I tend to move on. 4. In the process of researching due to lack of knowledge or needing to refresh the memory on a given subject, sometimes tends to takes time to move on. 5. Dogs (Halo and Buddy) plus family members come first, might cause me to lose track of time and move on. 6. Annoying neighbors I mean next-door neighbors show up unannouced. Find myself wishing they'd move on. 7. Health reasons, if I don't responed within a month's time, you might send flowers, (no coins) and best if everyone else moves on.
Unless I here back, I'm thinking I'll be moving on for now. Thanks, Doug.

I attempt to check back in on topics, but they often get buried in other activity, so there is nothing telling me I need to go back. Sometimes it happens because of how recent a post was, but they can be quickly overtaken by other topics with newer posts. I don't make a habit of revisiting every topic in which I posted the day before. That may lead to unanswered secondary questions (if I could even answer them), but we can't be everywhere all the time.
It's not a perfect system.

Quote: like 500 people look but one post. How do you know for sure "500" people looked at one post or if just one person looked 500 times? Not uncommon for myself to go back 20 or more times to read others replies or I may feel the need to edit, add, move or change something. Every time I do this clicks the "Read" counter. Thanks, Doug.
