Odd Piece Of Something Found Metal Detecting- Need Help Please!

CoinHunter27 Pillar of the Community United States 5887 Posts	Posted 01/28/2019 8:22 pm Found this metal detecting a house built in 1945 about a year ago. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to be posting non-coin things here, but I'll give it a shot. First off, I have no idea what it is. Second, here are some pointers: 1) it weighs 20-21 grams 2) it gets a 80-85 range under a metal detector 3) it has a trademark symbol in the top right corner If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it! I have spent lots of time researching this and have found nothing. I don't know if I took home something old or if I took home some junk. And is the 1940's a good guess with a time period? Sorry, I'm a complete newbie to this. It may be something like that. Look at old refrigerators and you can see what I mean. It may not be that at all, but could be? Appreciate the help! Happy hunting! Added: is there any time period I can expect this to be between? Again, the house was built in 1945. Tough to make out the words, but I know there is a T___OR. Bump111 Pillar of the Community United States 3323 Posts	Posted 01/30/2019 08:28 am I was trying to imagine a brand name that would fit with no success. The stylized "M" may also be a clue. It almost looks like a toggle switch of some sort as well. I would guess more modern than the '40s based on the font. Hope you can get it figured out! The first letter in the word below the symbol looks to be a T shaped the same. Just throwing my idea out there. Thanks for the help! I might hold on to it anyways.
