I just got this recently and I've done some research and it got me even more confuse...i really can't tell the difference if its a DD or MM.. anyone ? thanks

That's Machine Doubling, since the devices have been reduced in size.

Could you elaborate on what this means ("reduced in size")?

Also, is this textured surface from late die state?
