Now I know, I know about how important pictures. But at this point in time, I cannot provide the actual coin. Instead, I hillbillied it and here is what I got...

I just took a 1928 and brought into paint, drew the lines where the Planchet errors are. Where the red lines on, there are valley/rips/trenches/digs or whatever you wanna call them.

It is for sure not post-mint damage. Numerous people have looked at the coin and have agreed it to be a mint error.

The lettering and the "spikes" are all visible over these flaws.
Anybody have ideas on value or anything? I will provide a scan as soon as I can.
Thanks!
Jordan

Problem is, when you draw lines over what you are trying to show us, we cannot see it. You would have to take a photo that shows the problem area and leave that area alone so we can see it in the photo.

I understand that, but I do not have access to the coin right now. It is in some else's possision to try to find out more on it.
The coin pictured is not the problem coin. It is just for showing where the problems is. So the drawing is just over a normal 28, not the problem coin.

I understand now...you will have to take photos of the actual coin for anyone to even render an inaccurate guess here. Grades on coins, varieties on coins, and errors on coins are three things that simply can not be explained well enough in words to get right, no matter how well it is done. They are purely visual and require visual inspection.
