Is this a worn die, or double die? Because of the location, I'm not sure it could be Machine Doubling, since nothing much around it is. I'm always learning. Thanks in advance for any input.

Are the letters reduced in size? If so then it is MD.

To CCF! The devices have been reduced in size, so it's Machine Doubling. Your coin is only worth face value.

Thanks very much for the input. I'm used to looking at pennies more than others.

Extreme die wear, Machine Doubling and circulation abuse. Spender. Question: On the 50 States and the ATB Quarters, do you know where to look for 99% of the rim the doubled dies are found? The areas can be found on Wexler's site:
States:
http://doubleddie.com/179401.html
ATB Quarters:
http://doubleddie.com/719755.html
They are in the center of the dies design on both sides. A small area. So when searching for doubled dies, you can save yourself a lot of time, if you look at these series.
