i hand-sort LMCs for copper on a decent scale- from $50 to $125 a week. Thousands upon thousands of pennies. I've got nice red cents for almost all of the third Whitman folder, except for two- 1990-D and 1991-D. I've got the '68-'74 S mint coins, and the early 60s Philly cents with less than a billion minted, each one shiny and strong, but these two coins, with more than four Billion of each in circulation, continue to elude me! This is not a "wanted" post, because I WILL pull them out of circulation sooner or later. I will not be defeated! SPARTAAAAAA! Uh, forget that last part. So what other completely-non-key coins are people fighting with?

I cannot find a single Philly mint coin from the 2000s... I've got all the S mints, P mints, and D mints from the 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, and all the D's from the 00s. Not a single one from this decade!!

I cannot find a 2003-D Roosevelt dime. Today I got two 2003-P dimes in change from two different transactions. I am also unable to find a 2004-D Cent and the 2004-2005 D-mint Westward Journey nickels. I'm still looking and am tempted to start looking through rolls again!

I am in the same boat. I need to find someone on the east coast who will trade rolls for rolls with me on the west coast.

I have one of those Whitman books of nickels starting 1964 and the ONLY one I haven't found is a 1966 Philadelphia...

They taunt me in my dreams. Now they taunt me on the screen! I will find them eventually. Lanispet, I am in SC as well. I did not find the 1991-D LHC until 1998, so do not give up!

It is always been that way. The Midwest gets both coins from both areas all the time. While some are missing a D and others are missing the P, the Midwest is bombarded with both. I'm in the Midwest and every year I can pull both out of change with no problem at all.

I have yet to find a nice red, BU 1994D LMC. What is even stranger is that for ages I couldn't find a 1999 philly! I just forgot to pull one that year, and have never found one that was not an eyesore, but all of that changed about a month ago. So I'm now proud to be the owner of a ridiculously common coin. I have yet to find a decent 2005 ocean view nickel. In addition it seems that every 2008 nickel I find (both P&D) are horribly scratched up on obverse. So, I'm still looking for that pair as well despite the fact that they are of this year! grrrr!

Funny thing is, I am equidistant from both mints, yet change from Philly is extremely rare here. Quote: (GO CUBS!) I am not liking this... Sincerely, A White Sox fan

Quote: I have one of those Whitman books of nickels starting 1964 and the ONLY one I haven't found is a 1966 Philadelphia... The '65-'68 Jeffersons do seem to be unusually hard to find in good condition, at least around here... I've gotten more nice coins from the '50s than I have from that time frame. i also buy about $40/week in nickels to sort, so I've got AU+ Westward Journeys by the roll... I really need to get a new folder for them, though, as I'm still using the Whitman folder I bought in 1987, and it's kinda missing some dates :p
