I was just at their web site and I had forgotten about the coupon they offer. They don't have a lot of coin stuff, but they do have some. The coupon is 40% off one item.

Yeah. They carry a small selection of 2 by 2s and some Whitman books and pages. From what I remember not a whole lot.
Check out my counterstamped Lincoln Cent collection:

I have a location near my home. I do take advantage of the 40% coupon when they have something I need.

Every once in a while I'll pick up the annual Red Book with that 40%, and I got several of my Whitman Classic albums there.

But yeah... good for a new collector but their variety is limited.

Thanks for the reminder!

I think it's great that hobby lobby stocks coin supplies, keeping the hobby alive one store at a time

I agree!

Again, an advanced collector may not find Hobby Lobby useful but a new collector can get a bunch of Whitman Classic albums, a Red Book, folders, and a lot of good material with which to start a collection.

HL helped me out quite a bit.

If enough people mention to the store manager that they would like more coin supplies, that might help.

Sorry, but you're better off just shopping at Amazon or Wizard. HL is only going to stock the inventory they (think they can) move.

If you want to support local then buy from your LCS and pay a little extra. If you talk to THAT store manager/owner (vs the HL manager), you're likely to make a friend, they may order you what you want, and they might just give you a deal on the coin you've been looking for or a few cents off of the markup for bullion. They also might give you a great deal on a used Dansco/Whitman/Lighthouse/etc.

I'm planting Father's Day gift ideas in my family's heads. I was thinking a spiral-bound Red Book and maybe a currency book I saw there. If my wife and daughter go, they can buy them separately and each use their own 40% coupon. Makes it a great deal. I'm selling it as a very economical gift idea.

I did talk to the HL manager one time asking about them getting some additional products but he said it was not possible.
