Can anyone tell me if these coins are from the same place and if so where they are from? And if they are from the same place why do they look different? Also, I have a number of different franc denomination coins with the same question applying to those as well. some say liberte egalite fraternite, and the others say travail famille patrie. What is the difference please so I can finally sort these into some kind of set.

First is 1948, therefore from the Republic, and the second one is 1943, a coin of the wartime Vichy state. That's why the motto is different. The post-war and also pre-war coins have the Liberte Egalite Fraternite motto, while the Vichy ones do not.
