1954 D Wheat Penny Error - Coin Community Forum

Armymom2011 New Member United States 12 Posts	Posted 02/05/2019 08:25 am Hi everyone! I am from us, more specific...Iowa. My boyfriend and I recently started looking over his coins. His Wheat penny collection caught my attention. I don't know why because I really haven't ever collected coins. But, I have been doing a lot of reading and really paying close attention to each penny. And, I'm hoping to get maybe some expert advice because from all the reading I've done I think I have found a penny that is very rare. I have tried finding similar information but I haven't. Maybe, I have not been searching in the right areas so I decided to join here. Anyway, I have found a 1954 D whet penny with the E in "LIBERTY" not having the middle line struck so it looks like a C. there might be a a slight indent but it did not strike. The letters look very thick very bold. Therr are a couple other small errors but am I correct in believjnv I may have a very rare coin? Report this Post to the Staff
