I have a few of those (France/Belgium), always thought they were aluminum. Learned something unexpected today.

I would think that WW2 zinc coins in top condition with most of the mint luster retained would be quite rare, and thus have enhanced value.

The 1942 Netherlands zinc 2 1/2 Cents in is rare, and is valuable, irrespective of it's condition.
