Good morning, Malissa. I was not blessed with the high relief 1951. Even the chrome plated ones have some of that worn off, but still in great condidtion. This is a common ordinary set with common ordinary nickels in it. The 64 has the right amount of water lines. It's just a set of nickels. Bill

OK, This is only an estimate, so please don't make any type of sales without getting a bit more verification. I am going to go about this in this manner: 1922-1950 at vf 1951-1969 at xf 1970 -1983 at au
of course the value can be different depending on individual grades of each coin (especially in the key dates)
so my estimates for the complete set (assuming I have the grades correct and that you haven't missed a rarity) would be between $550-$700. I hope that helps you somewhat. Maybe some of the others will chime in and give a yes or no agreement to this estimate but I believe that they feel as I do..... it is very hard to give a value estimate without seeing the coins themselves.

Malissa, who woulda thunk't! I bought it back in 1999 I think for, maybe 35.00 or 95.00. From a dealer and it was in a big square white plastic holder, even! One of those two amounts. Are you sure about this, like with your decimal pts, etc? I mean these are just common ordinary nickels in very good shape. All the early 30 yrs are F-VF. Very pretty! Are you really sure? I'm astounded! Please--say something more! Bill S.

hi bill, It could possibly be more as well. Where the value goes up is if you have 1925 even in vg $90, f12 $125, vf20 $175 the 1926 far 6 is worth vg8 $175, f $250, vf $400. These are of course charlton values, which the book states is for graded coins, so you would need to make some determination of how much to deduct from the value since the coins are not professionally graded.
I never asked if you had the 1947 with the dot on it as I didnt include that in my estimate and that would make the set worth more.

Malissa, I have extras: 1922(3) 1923(2) 1924(2) 1925(1) 1926 Near6(2) 1927(2) 1928(1) 1929(1) 1930(2) 1931(1)with luster 32,33,34,35,36(1 each). I won't offer the set to the guy. I had an old 1984 Charlton and gave it to him. I will keep my full set of cents, too. He's ordering a new Charlton and we are getting together when it comes. You have been very enlightening and helpful and I appreciate it. I have to get outside and get some wood cut, will talk with you later. Thank you VERY much Bill S.

Bill, what do you plan on doing with the extras? I haven't checked mine, but I'm sure there are some that will fit my folder, (nickels). thanks. Later: I just checked, and mine only go back to '61, so I have a long way to go yet. Gort all them trees cut yet? I know there is a bunch waiting! Dick

Hey, Dick: I think the extras I picked up at the coin show when they were still cheap. I worked on the trees some Tuesday last week, but came down with terrible stomach virus in the woods and was laid up for four days straight, Just now enjoying food again. The 1925 nickel extra I have is LOST, somewhere in this house, but LOST! I showed it to Jan and I may have spent it somewhere between her quilt room and my penny room. I called the boy up I am selling my canada stuff and told him he may not want this set to buy after Malissa told me it's value. He agreed, lol Bill S.
