John1 Moderator United States 56855 Posts	Posted 02/06/2019 04:14 am to CCF. It is not an error. It has staining on the coin from being circulated. Some of it may come off with an Acetone bate. If you use Acetone,use 100% pure. Do not use standard nail polish remover. John1 Report this Post to the Staff

Second, yes it may be surface toning or "crud" on top of the coin, but either way, it occurred after the coin left the mint. Sorry but this one is a spender.
