Great notes cats25  I have been collecting India 1 rupees for a little while now, my oldest is 1957. I need to get myself a King George for sure.

Found another for Burma Also this Great Britain overprint - was to be used when Istanbul was overthrown in 1915 - The Turks won so they issued them in Palestine the next year Arabic script says Sixty Piastres in Silver in English.

Here's an overprint that you would prefer not to be. This issue in 1918 was never released save a very few pieces - however when the second world war started paper and metal shortages forced the authorities to issue these notes at half their original value these overprints are relatively common if it had no overprint it would be worth thousands.......
