Also forgot to mention the "Peacock & Dhow" notes were issued prior to WWII - these were dedicated Burma designs still controlled by the reserve bank of India Although there are previous versions they were simply overprints of India's notes these are the first true Burmese notes.

Quote: Brazil - 500,000 Cruzieros overprinted 500 Cruzieros Reals, 1993: That guy on the front of the note looks like the bad guy from "Raiders of the Lost Ark". You know, before his head melted. Some really nice overprints here.

Quote: Philippines 1944 Peso Very nice "IGE" and I have discovered that the higher denominations (with the "Victory" overprint) can run for a small fortune in higher grades.

An overprint banknote from Transnistria, a breakaway State un-recognised by the U.N. & still considered as being a part of Moldova. 10,000 ruble on a 1 ruble (1994)

Like witnessing hyperinflation (though I'm sure its not so cool for poor citizens who have to deal with it).

I really like the design of that old overprinted boliviano "Scots." Lovely example.

Thanks walk2dwater, the seated lady is "Mercury". Admittedly the note is not in the best of condition, but still a nice addition.
