I have a set of five 100 Dinar commem coins and one set of five 500 dinar commems. All are in plastic as purchased. They all have different winter sports on them. Any thoughts on value? I have looked all over the internets and can't find anything.

Hi Brunos,

They were made when it was still Yugoslavia.

The 100 Dinar coins are valued at $10 each in Krause
The 500 Dinar are valued at $13.50 each

There are also 5 of the 250 dinara coins in the set, as well as 3 of the 5000 dinara (gold) issues.

I have a little over half of the silver issues, and haven't even looked at the gold issues (they run about $300-400 each on ebay, best I remember)

They were issued in 5 "series", over a 3 year period.

series I - 1982 (released 31-January-1983)
100 dinara - hockey players
250 dinara - Sarajevo skyline
500 dinara - alpine skiier

series II - 1983 (released 1-April-1983)
100 dinara - figure skater
250 dinara - Lepenski vir (ancient artifact from the region)
500 dinara - ski jumper

series III - 1983 (released 1-July-1983)
100 dinara - bobsled
250 dinara - Radimlje Tombs
500 dinara - biathalon

series IV - 1984 (released 1-September-1983)
100 dinara - speedskater
250 dinara - Jajce
500 dinara - cross-country skiier

series V - 1984 (released 1-December-1983)
100 dinara - pairs figure skating
250 dinara - Tito
500 dinara - slalom skiier

I am curious as to how yours are packaged. Are they just individually capsulated in airtite style holders, or are they actually grouped in the sets of 5?
