Hello forum,

I have an 89D penny in excellent condition with what appears to be some type of silver colored doubling across the top of the letters in "United States oF"... Possible DDO in the 8 of the date maybe? Anyone familiar with this?

Ps- I tried my best to get a quality shot of the entire coin but couldn't get a focused photo for the life of me. If additional photos are needed please let me know and Ill try again. Thanks and have a great day!

to CCF. The date is DDD,die deterioration doubling. The silver looking area is split copper plating. A spendable coin.
