Nice morgans! And Flying Eagles always look good to me ...if only that scratch right across the eagle wasn't there...

Thoughts...I love the eagle details, and I hope

a) that you got the CC Morgan cheap AND it's really UNC AND those signs of cleaning are just a trick of the photograph; and

b) the rim hit at 9:00 on the 1894 doesn't bother you much AND/OR you got this one for a steal too!

Hi Jeffrey,
I agree with HABIB, these coins should have sold at bargain prices, so I hope you didn't pay too much!

The cent appears to have strong VF to EF detail but the heavy scratch should drop it down to a VG price at best, IMO. Also, the dark toning could be OK, but it could also be evidence of corrosion.

I don't think your '78-CC is uncirculated. It has the look of an AU-50 or AU-53 coin. I don't see any problems with it, just some light wear and loss of luster as would be expected on a lightly circulated coin. If it has been cleaned I don't think it was done harshly.

The 1894-O looks solid for VF-30 but I don't think it quite makes an EF grade. The toning looks original. The rim cut at 9:00 is heavy enough to hurt the value a bit so it should have cost a little less than a "perfect" VF-30 coin.

If these coins fit into your collection, and you got them for a fair price, then all is well. Please post photos of the reverses when you have a chance!
