nick10 Pillar of the Community United States 3207 Posts	Posted 02/08/2019 5:43 pm There are "black beauty" nickels from the late 1950s that appear very dark even though they are uncirculated and undamaged. IIRC they have improperly prepared planchets. Should be an example somewhere in the forums here but I can't find one. Report this Post to the Staff
