Been working on a PCGS MS65 or MS65FBL set. The 1949-D has been elusive. Still need some from 1957 forward. Had good luck so far.

Nice. One of these days I have aspirations to put together one of these.

If you want to try something a little different, you might want to consider looking at cameo proofs for one of your newer coins. I have a 1963 PR-68CAM Franklin for the "dead presidents" section of my type set, that portion of which is composed primarily of cameo proofs. You aren't going to get full bell lines, but you might find getting one an interesting change of pace.

A combination of coin shows, dealer sites and auctions to find quality coins. Lately, I have used auctions on the more elusive semi key dates and mint marks.

Congrats thus far. Finding them in MS65 or higher with full bell lines is, as I'm sure you're aware, a challenge. Yet achievable. Happy hunting!

When the price spread between MS65 and MS65FBL was large, I went for the MS65. Can try to upgrade at a later date.

I've got two sets of those but mostly all are just circulated grades.

Like carl, I have a circulated set or two in albums. At some point I would like to go for a grated set like you're putting together. Some pics would be great!

Picked up a 1949-D MS65FBL yesterday. Waiting on delivery. Ten coins left to make the set. 1957 to 1963. Interesting how the 1960 - 1963 years have a significant premium on MS65FBL over MS65. I think it is due to later die states. I should be able to pick up the last 10 relatively easily. 1957 P seems to be a bit elusive without mint set toning.
