Hello! I have another one like this but I couldn't figure out the date and I also badly damaged on both sides. What causes this kind of damage? Thanks everyone!

Definitely didn't come out of the U.S. Mint in any shape or form like that. It's all Post Strike Damage ( PSD). Maybe a "Parking Lot" coin?
