One example was: Loss of the outer portion of the field and its replacement by an incuse area of die damage. This curved groove is an unusual (but by no means unique) form of die damage and implies the presence of a thin burr extending down from the damaged portion of the die. It would be similar to the burr you get when you file down a piece of metal.
