I picked these up today in a bag of mixed coins and tokens, and even though it clearly states as to what they are, nothing about who produced, or gave them out. Any clues
As I understand it, these tokens (and the similar ones denominated in packs of gum, mints, etc.) were used in places and times where gambling for money was outlawed. The "amusement machines" dispensed their winnings in tokens rather than cash, so technically the people playing them weren't "gambling".
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
